MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four K-State volleyball players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the program’s second time achieving this milestone.
Setter Izzi Szulczewski, middle blocker Brenna Schmidt, and defensive specialists Ella Larkin and Symone Sims were honored for maintaining cumulative GPAs above 3.5.
Larkin, from Maize, Kansas, anchored a defense that led the Big 12 in total digs and digs per set. She recorded 492 digs this season, placing her 10th in K-State’s single-season record books.
Szulczewski, a junior from Oregon, started every match, contributing over 1,000 assists and finishing seventh in program history for career assists during the rally-scoring era.
Schmidt, from Nebraska, recorded 112 kills and 104 blocks, including a career-high 11 blocks against Iowa State.
Sims, a sophomore from Texas, added 259 digs across 27 matches, reaching double digits 13 times.
K-State finished eighth in the Big 12 this season.
