Obituary-Richard “Dick” R. Boling

Richard “Dick” R. Boling, 80 years of age, of Aurora passed away peacefully Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his residence in Aurora, Kansas.  He was born on March 15, 1944, in Pueblo, Colorado to Ferdinand “Bud” and Maxine (Landis) Boling.

He graduated from Clyde High School in the Class of 1962.  He married Jane Brunell on July 7, 1962, at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Aurora, Kansas. 

Early on in life Dick farmed with his father-in-law Frank Brunell and worked at the Aurora Co-Op.  He was a lifetime farmer in the Cloud County community.

Dick was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing.  Dick loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He also truly enjoyed his beloved dogs.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, K of C both of Aurora, and Clyde V.F.W. Post #7515. 

He is survived by his son, Alan Boling (Micaela), Omaha, NE; daughter, Dawn Snyder (Steve), Concordia; dearest companion, Connie Tate, Clyde, KS;  grandchildren, Garritt (Lilly) Boling Anchorage, AK;  Devin Boling (Sam),Denver, CO; Toni Boling, Omaha, NE, Kole, Brianna & Mariah Blazek, Jeremy, Brett, Lukas and Zoey Snyder, all of Concordia & 7 great grandchildren, sister, Dedra Platt (Ross), Valley Falls, KS; brother, James Bunting (Donna), Wellington, CO; brother, Gary (Dee) Moroney, sister, Kim Moroney, both of Pueblo, CO; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife Jane Boling, daughter, Cher Knudsen, parents, Bud and Maxine, sister, Debra Coker, stepmother, Jeanne Boling.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am, Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Aurora, KS with Fr. Joseph Kieffer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, from 5-8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm all at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Aurora.
