Travis Kelce Wins Nationwide’s 2024 “Charity Challenge”

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce won Nationwide’s 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year “Charity Challenge,” marking the fourth time in five seasons a Chiefs player has claimed the honor. Kelce, who also won in 2020, is the first two-time winner in the program’s 10-year history.

The challenge winner was determined by a fan vote on X/Twitter from December 5 to January 6. As part of his victory, Nationwide will donate $35,000 to Kelce’s foundation, 87 & Running, which supports underserved youth.

Kelce joins previous Chiefs winners, including Patrick Mahomes (2022), Tyrann Mathieu (2021), and Eric Berry (2015). All 32 nominees for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award were eligible for the Charity Challenge.

Kelce’s recognition reflects his impactful contributions to the Kansas City community, both on and off the field.
