The TeamMates mentorship program at USD 379 will serve as halftime entertainment for the CCCHS Tiger boys basketball game on January 17th.
At halftime, anyone who is involved with the program, including mentors and mentees, can stand up, wave, and say hi to the crowd.
In addition, they will hold a Chuck-a-Duck game as halftime entertainment.
Ducks will be available for $1 each. Anyone can purchase for the chance to throw a duck into one of three prize areas. Winners who land in the designated area will earn a cash prize.
Before the game, TeamMates board members will sell the ducks. Then at halftime, anyone who purchased will “chuck” their duck from the stands.
“The announcer will give plenty of warning to people moving about that ducks will be chucked,” said TeamMates board president, Jess Borgerding.
As ducks are sold, numbers are recorded with the purchaser’s name, then winners will be announced.
