Jason Lee Jones (“Jonsey”) 53, entered his final resting place at his home on January 7th, 2025.
Jason was born in Concordia, Kansas on July 30th, 1971, to Gerald and Ruth Ann (Doyen) Jones.
Jason was a 1990 graduate of Concordia High School.
Jason loved spending his time outdoors, tending to his yard and garden. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the races and demolition derby’s.
Jason’s true adoration was chasing coyotes and enjoying a beer with his buddies. Jason never met a stranger, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Jason held many jobs throughout his life, but being a farmhand was where he felt at home as it fulfilled his desire to be a farmer. He worked for many years with Reinke Manufacturing and for Brian Dorman on the farm.
Jason was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Ruth Ann Jones, and an infant sister Catherine Marie.
Jason is survived by his two sons; Tanner Jones of Dodge City, KS, and Trentin Jones (Erin) of Beloit, KS; sister Debra Jasperson (Randy) of Newton, KS; and a great number of friends.
A visitation and book signing for Jason will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m. February 27, 2025, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
The family has chosen cremation, and a celebration of Jason’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. February 27, 2025, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Hale officiating.
Private family inurnment will be held at Rice Cemetery, Rice, Kansas at a later date.
