Keeping honey bees is an interesting and fun way to interact with nature. Whether you are looking for a new hobby or if you are interested in starting a small side business, beekeeping can be a gratifying and valuable pursuit. Come join us to learn about starting and managing a honey bee colony from Ryan Engel, Horticulture Extension Agent from the Golden Prairie District. This program will cover topics for someone new to beekeeping, from the necessary equipment, to where to source your honey bees, and some general management recommendations geared towards beginners!
This workshop will be held on during the noon hour on Thursday, February 20 from 12:10 pm to 12:50 pm. It will be held at the Cloud County Co-op Distribution Center Conference Room, 1401 E 6th Street, Concordia, KS 66901.
