Tigers Snap 32 Game Losing Streak!

Friday night in The Den; the Tigers did something they had not done since 2010; they beat the Abilene Cowboys. Clay Center had lost 32 straight games to Abilene; but snapped that streak in convincing fashion with a 56-43 win. The Tigers improved to (11-4/6-3) with the victory. Defense and balance set the tone in this one. The Tigers held Abilene to four second quarter points and went to the half up 25-14. The Cowboys made a few runs at the Tigers, but Clay Center never gave up the lead and would put it away down the stretch for the double-digit win. Seven Tigers were in the scoring column led by Weston Hammond’s 16 points. Cole Pladson had 10; Owen Craig-9; Jace Weller-7; Isaac Berggren-5; Eisaac Girton-5 and Anthony Davies-2. The 43 points for Abilene was their lowest point total of the year.
