It was a low-scoring, physical game night on February, 14th for Clay Center. But when the Tigers needed a bucket the most they found a way. Clay Center trailed 42-41 when they took possession with just over 15 seconds remaining. Out of a Tiger timeout, the Red Raiders nearly stole the ball to ice the game. But Cole Pladson was strong enough to rip it away from the defender. Pladson started to drive the lane when he saw Jace Weller on a back door cut. The alley-oop from Pladson was on the money and Weller’s flew to the ball and banked it in with 5.9 seconds left for the lead and the win! The Tigers were led by Owen Craig’s 11; Isaac Berggren-10; Weston Hammond-8; Pladson-5; Weller-4; Anthony Davies-4 and Eisaac Girton-1. The Tigers are now 13-4 and 7-3 in the NCKL.
