Marshall County Arts Cooperative
The Marshall County Arts Cooperative is bringing the spirit of New Orleans to Marysville with its Mardi Gras Masquerade on Saturday, March 1, at Venue 36, Marysville. The evening is filled with jazz, dancing and festive fun, offering guests a chance to don their best masquerade attire and immerse themselves in the vibrant traditions of Mardi Gras.
The evening kicks off with dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m., setting the stage for an exciting night of entertainment. The dinner is sold out.
Tickets remain for the remainder of the evening.
At 6:30 p.m., the doors open for a vibrant lineup of activities, with $20 tickets granting access to an evening filled with live jazz, games and dancing. The Gatsby Jazz Quintet will set the mood with a lively cocktail hour from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., delivering an authentic jazz experience to transport guests straight to the heart of New Orleans.
At 8:30 p.m., attendees can showcase their creativity in a spirited costume contest. Whether dressed in traditional Mardi Gras attire, a full masquerade ensemble or a completely original creation, guests are encouraged to embrace the festive spirit. Following the contest, the party continues with dancing and merriment until 11:30 p.m.
Adding to the fun, guests can participate in interactive games, including the ever-popular forbidden word game. The event embodies the arts cooperative’s commitment to fostering creativity and community engagement, offering a night where music, art and celebration converge.
“We are extremely excited to host this event,” said Chris Felder, vice president of the Marshall County Arts Cooperative. “It’s a chance for people to step out of their everyday routine, dress up, enjoy incredible live music and most importantly, support the arts in a fun and festive way.”
