Lady Tigers Roll To 30 Point Win

Clay Center went on the road in a non-league matchup at Council Grove on Monday, February 20th. After leading 16-10 through one quarter; they blitzed the Braves on their way to a 68-38 win. Four Lady Tigers reached double digits with Lily Edwards leading the way with 15; Janae Crimmins hit 4 3’s on her way to 14 points; Ayla Johnson and Raegann McDonald both had 12; Miley McGee-9; Boston Craig-4; Berklee Gisselbeck-2. Edwards was electric Monday nearly hitting a triple-double dishing out 10 assists (with no turnovers) and 9 steals in the game. Craig led the way on the boards with 7 rebounds. The Lady Tigers shot 66.7% from the field and were 54.5% from the three-point line (6-11). Clay Center improved to 14-4 and is currently ranked #4 in 4A. They will host Senior Night against state-ranked Rock Creek on Friday.
