To support caregivers and families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia, River Valley Extension District is providing a two-part program series, “Caregiving for Alzheimer’s and Dementia,” in Hanover with the Hanover Hospital. This educational series aims to provide valuable resources, guidance, and support to those caring for individuals with these conditions.
The program will take place over two evenings featuring education on key caregiving topics. The first evening, Tuesday, April 15th, will focus on the role of the caregiver, the changes they may experience, building a support team, and managing stress. The second evening, Tuesday, April 22nd, will cover handling finances as a caregiver. Both sessions will begin at 6:00 pm each night at the Kloppenberg Senior Center, 512 E North Street, Hanover, KS.
Attendance is free with Hanover Hospital providing participants with a meal, but registration is required to ensure adequate materials and seating. Contact the River Valley Extension District – Washington Office at 785-325-2121 to register for one or both evenings.
