The Naloxone Program in Kansas is offering free overdose prevention and Naloxone training to anyone in the state, available both in-person and virtually upon request. Organizations can book group sessions through the program’s website, while individuals can sign up for monthly general audience webinars. Each session lasts one hour and covers key topics such as overdose recognition, response, and Naloxone administration.
For those seeking a self-paced option, online training is also available. The program offers additional free resources, including Naloxone (Narcan) kits, fentanyl test strips, medication lock bags, and disposal bags. These items, along with Naloxone vending machine locations, can be requested via the program’s website.
In addition to overdose training, free Mental Health First Aid courses are available both in-person and virtually. These courses teach participants how to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
