Grow Clay County
Grow Clay County is thrilled to announce the theme for this year’s Piotique Fall Festival: “Stars, Stripes & Small Town Pride.” This patriotic and nostalgic theme will help set the stage for a very special celebration — Clay Center’s 150th birthday.
The Piotique Festival, held on the last Saturday in September, the 27th, will serve as the city’s official sesquicentennial celebration, filled with community pride, historic charm, and fun for all ages. The Grand Parade will begin at 11:00 AM, and the event will feature live entertainment, community tributes, and commemorative merchandise.
The 2025 Grand Marshal will be announced during the Wake Up Wednesday event on June 4th at Stark Dance and Baton Studio, and the public is encouraged to attend as the celebration begins to take shape.
“This year’s theme is all about where we came from and how proud we are to call Clay Center home,” said Kathryn Doster-Tipsword, Lead Event Coordinator for Grow Clay County. “It’s a special chance to remember our past, celebrate our communities’ 150th birthday today, and get excited for what’s ahead.”
More details about the event schedule, parade registration, and vendor opportunities will be shared soon. For updates, download the ClayCo Kansas App or visit growclaycounty.org/piotique.
