Valociek Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar

By Jayson Henderson

Kansas State men’s golfer Kobe Valociek has been named to the 2024–25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar team, recognizing his academic and athletic performance. It’s the second academic honor for Valociek since finishing his senior season.

To qualify, golfers must be at least a sophomore, compete in 50% of team rounds, hold a stroke average below 76.00, maintain a 3.20 GPA, and be in good standing with their school.

Valociek, who transferred from Virginia Tech, played one season with K-State and posted a 72.32 scoring average — second-best on the team. He had six top-20 finishes and four in the top 10, including a tie for fourth at The Prestige, where he shot a 7-under 206.

His efforts helped the Wildcats return to postseason play, placing seventh and finishing just three shots short of a berth in the NCAA Championship.
