Clay Veterinary Clinic (CVC) has launched a new service: an online pharmacy where pet owners can order medications for their pets and have them shipped directly to their doorstep.
Dr. Melissa Luke, the primary equine vet at CVC, said, “We started it because we wanted to offer easy prescription filling and convenience for clients, delivered with hometown care. A lot of people order from Chewy, which is great, but we wanted to offer a ‘shop local’ option while still getting that online experience.”
The online pharmacy is located on CVC’s website. It works just like other online shopping platforms. Clients simply create an account, shop for what they need, and then enter their payment information. Orders will be shipped to their front door.

The pharmacy doesn’t just offer medication; it also offers various brands of pet food, equine items, and more.
“As far as prescription refills go, the client types in the medication they need, order it, and as long as the pet has an existing account with us, we will get a notification in our medical software system where we can easily review the script request. There are free shipping options and discounts for monthly auto-shipping available,” said Dr. Luke.
CVC also offers a Hill’s to Home online pet food option, where clients can have their pet’s regular and prescription pet food delivered right to their doorstep. While this is separate from the pharmacy, Dr. Luke said this is another cost-effective option because shipping is free.
“We just want to offer easy online ordering with the personal touch of your local veterinarian who actually knows the pet and can offer the best options to keep them happy and healthy.”
