In celebration of the Brown Grand Opera House’s 118th birthday, the Brown Grand Players are proud to present “The Mousetrap” by Agatha Christie, September 19-21 onstage at the Brown Grand in downtown Concordia (310 W 6th Street). This show will also directly support the Brown Grand’s capital campaign “Giving Voice to the Past, Illuminating the Future,” as 100% of the ticket sales will be given to the Brown Grand. This campaign is dedicated to replacing the antiquated lighting and sound systems, as well as the vintage cyclorama at the Brown Grand.
“The Mousetrap” was first presented at the Brown Grand by the Players in 1981. This time, the play is being directed by longstanding Players’ member Mikki Nelson. After a local woman is murdered, the guests and staff at Monkswell Manor find themselves stranded during a snowstorm. It soon becomes clear that the killer is among them, and the seven strangers grow increasingly suspicious of one another. The cast includes: Amanda Morgan, Christopher Shane, Tantyn Skaggs, Shannon Best, Jonathon Stevenson, Dorothy Breault, Sue Edington, and Rick Nelson.
There will be three performances of “The Mousetrap” – on Friday, September 19, at 7 pm, Saturday, September 20, at 7 pm, and Sunday, September 21, at 2 pm. Tickets are $10/each and can be purchased at the door.
