The Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center (CCARE) will host a ‘Bark the Halls’ Holiday Giving Gala on Saturday, November 8th, at the Vintage Gardens Downtown Gathering Place in Clay Center at 5:00 p.m.

The evening will feature live entertainment, a meal, beverages, raffles, auctions, and more.  Proceeds from this event will help CCARE continue its important mission of finding dogs forever homes. Trish Halstead, CCARE Board member, said they encourage guests to be festive!

“We currently have over 80 auction items donated by businesses and individuals, including a festival of decorated trees, holiday decor, sports team items, tools, pet items, and much more.”

“Attendees can also participate in some fun games and win prizes.”

“I want to add that the dress attire for the event is just to be festive. Dress up or dress down, just make it festive.”

Tickets from a single person to reserved table groups are currently on sale, with a registration deadline of Wednesday, October 1st. Halstead said over 60% of CCARE’s annual budget comes from public donations and fundraisers, such as this.

All ticket purchases will come with a meal and a drink ticket, with additional options for promotional opportunities. Halstead also wanted to thank Vintage Gardens for graciously donating the space for the evening event.

This is CCARE’s first Gala, and they hope to make it an annual tradition. Halstead said they hope supporters will join them in celebrating the season for a great cause.

“We hope all the CCARE supporters, old and new, will register by the October 1st deadline and come help celebrate the season together and make a difference for CCARE!”
