As work progresses on the pavement replacement project in Junction City, motorists should anticipate the following traffic changes:
- The head-to-head traffic configuration will be shifting further to the west during the week of Sep. 22 as work moves into the final sub-phase of construction.
- The I-70 entrance and exit ramps at exit 298 (Chestnut Street) are expected to reopen in late September, conditions permitting.
- The I-70 entrance and exit ramps at exit 299 (J-Hill Road) are expected to reopen in late September, conditions permitting.
- The I-70 entrance and exit ramps at exit 296 (Washington Street) are expected to close in late September, conditions permitting.

Wildcat Construction Co. Inc. and Subsidiaries, of Wichita, is the prime contractor of this $30 million project and has scheduled it to be completed by December, conditions permitting.
