Jimmy D. Rippe, 67, Hanover, died Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Hanover Hospital.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 12, at Ward Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service was at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 13, at Ward Funeral Home with Pastor Eli Sweany officiating. Music selections were “Jealous of the Angels” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”
Pallbearers were Terry Morse, Kolton Morse, Ronnie Rippe, Larry Rippe and Jeff Rippe.
Burial was in Washington City Cemetery.
Jimmy was born on June 4, 1958 in Emporia, KS to Lawrence and Mary (Eccles) Rippe. When he was older, Jimmy lived and worked at Twin Valley Development Services in Greenleaf. In the past year he was in long-term care at Hanover Hospital. Jimmy was always smiling and had a loving personality. He was everyone’s favorite among his caregivers. He especially loved having his picture taken and would photo bomb others any chance he could get.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his sisters, Malinda (Terry) Morse, Angie Smith both of Washington; brothers, Ronnie Rippe, Midland, TX, Larry (Pam) Rippe, Odessa, TX and Jeff (Crystal) Rippe, Silver Lake; and aunts, Laura (Darrell) Allerheiligen, Waverly, NE; Darlene Rippe, Smith Center, and Sharon (Rob) deLaney, Renton, WA and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund is established and will be designated later by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
