Chiefs Bring Red Friday Tradition to Brazil

By Jayson Henderson

The Kansas City Chiefs continued their Red Friday tradition on the road last week, visiting the Ronald McDonald House in Sao Paulo ahead of their season opener in Brazil.

Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, along with team president Mark Donovan and other members of the organization, toured the facility Friday morning and spent time with children and families staying there. The visit highlighted the work of Brazil’s seven Ronald McDonald House facilities, which provided more than 100,000 overnight stays and 563,000 meals in 2024.

In Kansas City, Red Friday was also celebrated with the release of a limited-edition commemorative flag, sold at McDonald’s locations and online. Proceeds once again went to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, which has received more than $6.5 million through Red Friday since its launch.
