Junction City: Arrest Made in Tire Slashing Investigation

The Junction City Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with the recent series of tire slashing incidents reported in the 200 to 400 blocks of West 5th and West 6th Streets, as well as other nearby areas.

On the morning of Monday, September 15, 2025, officers on patrol observed the suspect, identified as a 30-year-old Black male from Junction City. When officers attempted to make contact, he fled on foot. After a short foot chase, he was taken into custody without injury or incident to himself, the officers, or members of the public.

The subject was arrested in connection with 10 separate cases for charges of Damage to Property and Burglary. He is currently being held in the Geary County Corrections Center awaiting his first appearance.
