K-State Volleyball Ends Non-Conference Play With Five-Set Win

Kansas State finished its non-conference schedule with a five-set victory over East Carolina on Saturday at Carmichael Arena. The Wildcats improved to 7-1 under third-year head coach Jason Mansfield after winning 25-20, 21-25, 15-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Shaylee Myers led K-State with 23 kills, marking her third 20-kill match of the season. Aniya Clinton added 21 kills, her first 20-kill match this year, and Reagan Fox contributed 10. Setter Ava LeGrand recorded career highs with 49 assists and 22 digs for her fifth career double-double. Symone Sims posted a personal-best 21 digs.

The match featured 37 ties and 14 lead changes. K-State hit .225 overall and held a 65-61 edge in digs. East Carolina dropped to 8-2.

The Wildcats begin Big 12 play at home on Friday, Sept. 26, against Arizona, followed by a match with No. 8 Arizona State on Sunday, Sept. 28.
