Kansas students can apply to college without paying application fees during the 2025 Apply Free Days, set for October 6–8. The program, led by the Kansas Board of Regents, is designed to boost higher education enrollment by removing financial barriers.
Apply Free Days cover all seven public universities, 19 community colleges, six technical colleges, and 21 private institutions affiliated with the Kansas Independent College Association. Eligible programs include undergraduate certificates, associate degrees, and bachelor’s degrees, but graduate programs are not included.
To receive the fee waiver, applications must be submitted between October 6 and 8, 2025. Applications submitted outside this window, even due to technical issues, will not qualify. Students are encouraged to prepare their applications in advance but submit them during the designated dates.
Full instructions and application links are available on the Kansas Board of Regents Apply Free Days page: kansasregents.gov.
After applying, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to explore financial aid options.
