The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) released results from a statewide marijuana enforcement operation held October 1–2.

With help from local police, KBI agents served search warrants at 18 vape shops and CBD stores in Wichita, Topeka, Salina, Great Bend, McPherson, Independence, Pratt, Abilene, Ulysses, Concordia, and Sedan. They seized products that are illegal in Kansas or suspected of having too much THC.

Items taken included:

  • 343 pounds of marijuana flower
  • 43,867 THC pre-rolls
  • 35,627 THC vapes
  • 84,481 THC and psilocybin edibles
  • $35,436 in cash

Two people from Ulysses were arrested October 2 for transporting illegal THC products. They face multiple drug-related charges, including intent to distribute and possession of controlled substances.

In addition, that same day a 20-foot box truck carrying THC products from 19 Kansas stores was stopped by the Kansas Highway Patrol near Fredonia. The truck and its contents were seized.

All evidence is being tested, and the investigations remain ongoing.
