Kansas State earned its first Big 12 win since 2023 on Friday night, rallying for a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma State behind two second-half goals from sophomore forward Hannah Palmer.
Oklahoma State struck early in the fourth minute, but K-State (6-4-3, 1-3-2 Big 12) controlled possession and outshot the Cowgirls 25-9. The Wildcats tied the match in the 66th minute when Palmer converted a penalty kick after a handball in the box. Six minutes later, she scored again from 12 yards out after a deflection, giving K-State the lead for good.
Palmer’s performance tied school records for goals in a Big 12 match and points in a conference match. The win ended a 20-match conference winless streak and a 13-match Big 12 road drought.
K-State returns home to host Cincinnati on Thursday and West Virginia on Sunday.
