Due to weather, Grow Clay County’s Screams for a Cause – Family Fun Run & 5K has been postponed.

The event has been changed to Pilgrim Pace for a Purpose and has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 15th. It will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Zoo Walking Trails in Clay Center.

Registration is $5 per person, or $20 per family (5 or more participants). All proceeds benefit the Clay Center Multi-Generational Life Center.

Kathryn Doster-Tipsword, Events Coordinator at Grow Clay County, said, “The biggest changes are the date and the theme. Otherwise, the event will be very similar to the Halloween run – we’ll still have tables along the way with goodies, and we’ll finish with donuts and hot chocolate to warm everyone up.”

Participants are still encouraged to dress up, although it isn’t required. “It definitely adds to the fun. The more turkey costumes, the better!” said Doster-Tipsword. Registration can be found on Grow Clay County’s Facebook page, or on their website under the Halloween Howl/Pilgrim Pace for a Purpose link
