Kansas State women’s soccer finished in a 0-0 draw against Houston on Thursday night at the Carl Lewis International Complex. The Wildcats controlled much of the match but couldn’t find the net despite outshooting the Cougars 20-8.
K-State (7-5-4, 2-4-3 Big 12) held an 8-0 shot advantage in the first half and 12-3 in shots on goal for the game. Sophomore forward Allison Marshall had the best chance late in the first half, but her close-range shot went directly to the goalkeeper. Senior midfielder Jayce Woodward nearly scored in the 89th minute, sending a shot just over the crossbar.
Goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing made three saves to record her ninth shutout of the season. The Wildcats have now gone unbeaten in their last three Big 12 road matches. K-State travels to No. 5 Texas Tech on Sunday to close its conference road schedule.
