Today the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) issued full November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to all Kansas recipients. Beneficiaries should have access to their benefits by the end of the day Friday, Nov. 7.
SNAP benefits in Kansas are typically distributed over a 10-day period based on the first letter of a recipient’s last name. However, for November, all current beneficiaries will receive their benefits on Nov. 7.
Recipients can check their benefit status by calling 1-800-997-6666, the number listed on the back of their EBT card. Benefit details should be available through that line. DCF also encourages EBT cardholders to download and use the ebtEDGE app to securely track and manage their benefits.
In total, more than $31.6 million in November benefits were distributed to about 86,000 Kansas households.
The ebtEDGE app can be found in your app store and at the web portal: https://www.ebtedge.com/gov/portal/PortalHome.do. The FIS ebtEDGE app is completely free to use and provides protective features like blocking out-of-state purchases and card freezing
