Twin Valley Development Services’ 11th annual ‘Christmas Cheer in the Pines’ fundraising event is drawing near. Set for this Friday, November 21st, the event will run from 6:00 to 11:30 p.m. at the Waterville Firehouse.
This annual event is an evening of fun and holiday spirit, with proceeds supporting Twin Valley in its mission of promoting independence for individuals with developmental disabilities.
The evening will include live entertainment by Nashville artist Tyson Leslie, with over 4,500 songs in his repertoire. Other highlights include a full buffet meal, cocktails, basket raffles, silent and live auctions, plus more. Stacey Whiting, Event Coordinator, said this jam-packed event is also a great time to interact with and hear stories from those they serve.
“We do a special feature at the event. We’re featuring someone from Washington County, his name is Stephen Little, and we’re featuring someone from Marshall County, Steve Boehm.”
“Steve from Washington County is fairly new to Twin Valley. On the other hand, Steve Boehm has been with us for 30 years. So, it’s going to give a completely different approach to how Twin Valley has served them.”
“Also, a lot of our individuals are here the night of.”
Two Special Olympians will also be there and have graciously made and donated items to auction off, with proceeds going to fund their trip to the USA Games in 2026.
Whiting said this event helps give those they serve a chance to be a part of their communities.
“This event celebrates inclusion, community, and the incredible spirit of those we serve.”
“100% of the profits go back towards the opportunities for our individuals to be involved in their community with inclusion and just the ability to experience life.”
Tickets and Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Additional information can be found on the Twin Valley Friends Facebook page. Tickets are available at charityauction.bid/ccitp2025.
