K-State Defense Sparks 14-6 Win Over Oklahoma State

Kansas State used five forced turnovers to secure a 14-6 road win over Oklahoma State on Saturday, earning the program’s first victory in Stillwater since 2017.

Oklahoma State led 6-0 after two 47-yard field goals by Logan Ward, but K-State answered with a 34-yard touchdown from Avery Johnson to Jayce Brown late in the first half. Brown did not return after halftime due to a shoulder injury.

K-State’s defense controlled the second half, recording two sacks and four takeaways after the break. Cody Stufflebean and Ryan Davis each produced key strip-sacks to stop Cowboy drives.

Joe Jackson’s 15-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter pushed the Wildcats ahead 14-6. Johnson finished 15-of-28 for 177 yards, while Oklahoma State’s Zane Flores threw for 233 yards with two interceptions.

The win moved K-State to 5-5 and one step closer to bowl eligibility.
