Cowboys Edge Chiefs 31-28 on Thanksgiving

The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 31-28, on Thursday in a game decided in the final minutes. Kansas City trailed by 10 in the fourth quarter before Patrick Mahomes found Hollywood Brown for a touchdown to cut the margin to three. The Chiefs, however, never got the ball back as Dallas converted a key third down to end the game.

Third-down plays were the major difference. Dallas converted 9 of 16 attempts, including several long-yardage situations. The Chiefs started strong with touchdowns to Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce, but penalties slowed the offense. Kansas City committed 10 penalties for 119 yards.

Mahomes threw four touchdown passes, including one to Rice that briefly gave the Chiefs a fourth-quarter lead. Dallas answered with a touchdown and a late field goal. Kansas City is now 6-6 and will host Houston next Sunday.
