The Kansas Corn, Wheat, Soybean, and Sorghum Associations have announced the date for the 2026 Kansas Commodity Classic, the state’s premier annual convention for producers of its top four crops. The event will take place Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Salina, beginning at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast.
The one-day program is designed to provide Kansas farmers with practical insights on key issues affecting their operations, including market trends, long-term weather forecasts, and federal and state legislative updates. Attendance is free, supported by industry sponsors, and includes a complimentary breakfast and lunch.
Presentations will feature a market outlook by Tanner Ehmke of CoBank, an economics and policy session with Kansas State University’s Robin Reid and Dr. Jennifer Ifft, and a weather outlook from Ross Janssen. Kansas Secretary of Agriculture Mike Beam will deliver opening remarks, and WIBW broadcaster Greg Akagi will serve as emcee.
Pre-registration is encouraged at kansascommodityclassic.com. Additional events surrounding the Commodity Classic include the Kansas Corn Symposium and Kansas Sorghum Producers Annual Meeting on Jan. 29, and the Kansas Soybean Celebration following the event on Jan. 30.
