A long-standing grocery store chain with deep roots in rural Kansas will become the new face of grocery shopping in Belleville and the surrounding North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska region beginning January 27th.

White’s Foodliner has agreed to purchase The Food Mart from the Munk family, marking the first change in ownership of the Belleville store since the 1950s.

Based in Phillipsburg, White’s Foodliner operates multiple stores across rural Kansas and has been a familiar name in the state’s grocery landscape for decades. Founded in 1953 by Joe and Frances White, the family-owned business has grown across three generations while maintaining a strong focus on service, relationships, and community involvement.

CEO Jordan White said the company plans to build on existing strengths, support local staff, and provide a welcoming shopping experience that reflects Belleville’s values.
