Haggerty Leads Balanced Attack in K-State Win

Kansas State placed five players in double figures Saturday afternoon in a 106-76 win over South Dakota at Bramlage Coliseum.

Junior P.J. Haggerty led all scorers with 24 points as the Wildcats improved to 8-4 on the season. K-State reached the 100-point mark for the second time in three games and for the second time this season.

The Wildcats shot 62.1 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range while holding a 44-28 rebounding advantage. K-State built control early, taking a 57-34 lead into halftime after shooting nearly 68 percent in the opening half.

David Castillo finished with 16 points, while Abdi Bashir Jr. and Nate Johnson each added 15. Khamari McGriff rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.

South Dakota was led by Isaac Bruns with 19 points. The Coyotes fell to 7-7.

Kansas State returns to action Dec. 28 against ULM.
