Travis Kelce took the field Thursday night knowing it could be his final game at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs tight end caught five passes for 36 yards in a 20-13 loss to the Denver Broncos, playing with third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun as Kansas City rested injured starters.
Kelce made several catches late as the Chiefs tried to rally, but the comeback fell short. After the game, Kelce praised his teammates and the opportunity to play alongside younger players on a national stage. The 36-year-old said he has not decided whether he will retire and plans to discuss his future with family and the organization after the season.
Kelce was the final player introduced and received a loud ovation from the crowd. He said moments like that, and the support from Chiefs fans, are what make playing at Arrowhead special.
