Darlene Deloris Crawford passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at Parkvilla Nursing Home in Clyde, KS. She was born on December 24, 1939, the daughter of Alcid and Bernice (Begnoche) Chaput in their home on a farm north of Miltonville, delivered by her grandmother Minnie Begnoche.

Darlene graduated with honors from Miltonville High School, Class of 1957. On Oct 5, 1957, She married Leeland Crawford, they later divorced.

Darlene loved gardening, especially flowers and made the best cinnamon rolls.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Terry Chaput.

Darlene is survived by a daughter Janet Hayworth and husband Randy, sons Robert and wife Cheryl Crawford, Randy Crawford, and Ronnie and wife Dawn Hitsman; sister Jean Boles, brother Gary (Karen) Chaput, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services: 10:30 AM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: 4-6 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
