As of January 1st, the Riley County Police Department (RCPD) assumed responsibility for Animal Control duties for Manhattan and the surrounding communities.
RCPD announced via social media that with the transition, they will only be responding to emergency calls, such as vicious animal reports or dog bites, effective until January 5th.
For animal control incidents, call (785) 537-2112. If it is an emergency, call 911.
