Senate President Ty Masterson announced today that Jacklynn Walters has been appointed permanent Chief of Staff for his office.

Walters previously served as Operations Director and Interim Chief of Staff. Since joining the Senate President’s staff in 2023, she has played a key role in keeping the office running efficiently and helping advance the Senate’s priorities.

“Jacklynn has proven herself to be an outstanding asset to my staff, and has a deep commitment to serving Kansans,” said Senate President Ty Masterson. “Her dedication, demeanor, and organizational expertise make her the ideal choice to serve as Chief of Staff on a permanent basis. I am confident she will continue to excel in this critical role as we work to deliver conservative results for Kansas families.” 

Before joining the Senate staff, Walters served on the Shawnee City Council and was actively involved in education and community initiatives.
