Donald Clifford Scripter, 89, died January 20th, 2026, in Clay Center, KS. He was born on July 9th, 1936, in Longford, the son of Clifford and Agnes (Carlson) Scripter. Don was raised on a farm in the Longford community and was a graduate of Longford High School. He married Shirley Livengood on January 27, 1957. They lived in the Longford area before moving to the Morganville community. Don established Longford Mill Products, Inc. with his father Clifford and brother Richard (Bud), which they operated together for over 30 years. Don was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church. Don and Shirley have made their home in Clay Center since 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, his parents and sisters Lois Winston, Delores Botz & his brother, Richard (Bud) Scripter.

Grandchildren: Dustin and wife Danielle Rothfuss; Crystie and husband Casey Kelly, Derek Rothfuss and partner Amanda Smith; Caysie and husband Keven Rowan; Danae and husband Nathan Fink; Kylie Schulze and husband Brandt Van Unen; Mayci and husband Jacob Paxton; Tori and husband Luke Berning.
