Ronald E. Caron, age 78, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, Kansas.
He was born on September 24, 1947, in Clyde, Kansas, to Clifford L and Rose A. (Hansen) Caron.
Ron attended Clyde Schools while growing up. He joined and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged.
He was united in marriage on August 8, 1978, in Oklahoma to Beverly J. Odgers.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #588 and American Legion Post #76 both of Concordia, Kanas. Ron was a simple, strong-willed man that worked hard to support his family. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family. After a long day of work, he liked to sit and have a beer with his friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Melody Caron, Portland, OR.; Angela Barnes (Nathan), Clyde, KS.
His sisters, Margie Tremblay (Richard), Topeka, KS, Marylou Allen, Gooding, ID. His sisters-in-law, Janet Weber (Ivan), Concordia, KS, Janice Bender, Concordia, KS. His grandchildren, Baron Barnes, Clyde, KS, Brayden Barnes, Clyde, KS. His great grandchildren, Brooklyn Barnes, Canaan Barnes. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded by his wife, Beverly Caron, grandson, Dustin M. Trzicky, parents, Clifford and Rose Caron, brothers, Jack Caron, Dean Caron and sister, Avis Hulett, brothers-in-law, Larry Allen, Fred Hulett, and Jim Odgers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM on February 5th, 2026, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia, Kansas with Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the V.F.W. Post #7515, Clyde, Kansas.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, from 1-8 pm with the family greeting friends from 6-8 pm, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
The family has invited all family and friends to join them prior to services for a luncheon at noon on Thursday, served at the American Legion, in Concordia.
