All Starz Kids Ministry will be hosting a Mother Daughter Tea Party at 11 a.m. March 7 at the Concordia Armory. Organizer Mariah Shrader says the event is for girls of all ages but since they won’t have highchairs, she asks that youngsters be at least preschool age.
“They’re going to be making your own flower crowns and decorating teacups to take home,” Shrader said. “We’re also going to have a couple different photo booth opportunities and a five-course tea lunch, some sweets, and, of course, tea.”
The event is to raise money for new playground equipment at Victory Faith Church and some technology and materials for Sunday School lessons, vacation bible school and other activities the group hosts throughout the year.
Shrader says All Starz Kids Ministry has been around for more than 20 years but has been known by different names. When she took the lead on the group a couple of years ago, it was renamed. She says most of the group’s activities are geared towards pre-K through 5th or 6th grade but they host several family activities and events.
“We’re really excited and this really is going to be an event for all the special girls in your life, so hopefully you can make time to come,” she said.
Tickets must be purchased by February 27 through the Mother Daughter Tea Party event page on Facebook.
