DCCCA has reached a major milestone in its Improving Lives … Close to Home campaign by successfully meeting the Mabee Foundation challenge grant. The foundation required DCCCA to raise $443,722 to receive a $302,500 grant, and the community’s generosity exceeded that goal, securing the funding.
The campaign supports the construction of ten transitional housing units for women in recovery and their children, along with program support and reserves for long-term sustainability. With the Mabee grant, more than 95% of the $4,212,500 goal has been raised, leaving $194,552 to fully fund the project.
Construction is nearly complete, and the Close to Home community is set to welcome families in July, providing a safe environment for treatment, childcare, education, and employment opportunities.
