Kansas State University Salina students in the professional pilot program now have a new opportunity to jump-start their aviation careers with Delta Air Lines. K-State Salina was chosen to join the Delta Propel Career Pathway Program, a partnership that helps students move more quickly from flight training to commercial pilot jobs.

The program is open to students at 38 accredited aviation schools who are working as certified flight instructors (CFIs) after completing their flight training. Selected students receive a conditional job offer with Delta’s regional carrier, Endeavor Air, giving them a clear path to becoming a Delta pilot.

Students must be within 12 months of earning their airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate. Thanks to K-State Salina’s aviation accreditation, students can qualify for a restricted ATP after just 1,000 flight hours instead of the usual 1,500, saving both time and money.

K-State Salina’s professional pilot program offers a fleet of over 30 aircraft, flight training devices, expert instructors, and easy access to Salina Regional Airport. The program has helped thousands of students begin aviation careers and also provides CFI training for those looking to train the next generation of pilots.
