Clay County Health Department to Host “Becoming a Mom” Classes for Expectant Parents

The Clay County Health Department (CCHD) is hosting another round of free prenatal classes for expecting parents, titled ‘Becoming a Mom.’ Becoming a Mom is a provider-recommended prenatal class designed to help and prepare future mothers and fathers.

Sessions for mothers and fathers expecting in May of 2026 begin on February 24th, sessions for those expecting in June will begin on March 12th, sessions for expectant parents of July babies will begin on March 30th, and sessions for August babies will begin on April 9th.

The sessions will cover various topics, including labor and delivery preparation, breastfeeding basics, postpartum care, baby care, and more.

Classes will be held in the Health Department Meeting Room and are entirely free. Class sizes are limited, so it’s important to register early. For more information or to register, contact Nikki Burwell at the Health Department.
