Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center (CCARE) is hosting an Easter Basket fundraiser, with 100% of the proceeds going to help the shelter. Community members can surprise their children or grandchildren at Easter with a basket stuffed full of items.

John Rieb, Executive Director, said this is a new fundraiser.

“Our fundraising committee put together this idea; it’s not something we’ve really done in the past.”

“We usually do an Easter egg hunt, which is a lot of hands-on work.”

“But this year, we decided to go a little more hands-off and put together some Easter Baskets because we know people are always looking for something fun to add to the holiday.”

Baskets are available in the CCARE lobby for a $25 donation. Rieb detailed the many things in the Easter Baskets.

“They come pretty packed.”

“Each basket comes with a stuffed bunny, bunny ears, a bubble wand, chalk stick, coloring book, stickers, curly straw, bracelet, fidget, and eggs filled with candy and toys.”

“There are some smaller items in the basket, so we do recommend parental supervision.”

“They’re just fun, color-themed Easter baskets, and we’re excited to be handing them out to everybody.”

Supplies are limited and selling fast. Stop by CCARE during business hours and complete your Easter shopping while supporting a great cause.
