The Washington County Historical and Genealogical Society will host a Friendship Quilt Program on Tuesday, March 17th at 7:00 PM at KSDS. The program will be presented by Mitch Zabokrtsky, members of the Zabokrtsky Family, and Family Friends.
The program will include:
- A history of Friendship Quilts
- A review of Washington County Friendship Circles,
- A Zabokrtsky/Nutsch Family 1916 Crocheted Friendship Quilt,
- Grandmother Anna Jenik Zabokrtsky’s 1940s Coleman Center Friendship Club’s Quilt,
- Oraetta Metz’s 1934 Good Natured Club Quilt,
- Diamond Center Friendship Club 1940s Quilt,
- A display of Family Quilts and
- Other interesting tidbits of information.
Come and join your friends and neighbors for a trip back into yesteryear. Refreshments will be served.
