Kansas Tops K-State in Regular Season Finale

Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball defeated the Kansas State Wildcats men’s basketball 104-85 on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse to close the regular season.

Kansas (22-9, 12-6 Big 12) shot 59 percent from the field and built a double-digit lead late in the first half. The Jayhawks led 46-33 at halftime and pulled away in the second half.

Darryn Peterson led all scorers with 27 points. Tre White added 23 points and 11 rebounds.

K-State (12-19, 3-15 Big 12) had four players in double figures. P. J. Haggerty and Nate Johnson each scored 21 points. Khamari McGriff finished with 17 points and Andrej Kostic added 11.

The Wildcats will enter the Big 12 Conference tournament as the No. 15 seed and will face BYU Cougars men’s basketball Tuesday in Kansas City.
