The Kansas City Chiefs traded cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday in exchange for four draft picks.
Kansas City received the No. 29 overall selection in the first round of the 2026 draft, along with fifth- and sixth-round picks this year and a third-round pick in 2027.
The move gives the Chiefs nine selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, including two first-round picks at No. 9 and No. 29 overall.
McDuffie leaves Kansas City after helping the team win two Super Bowls and reach three straight AFC Championship games from 2022 through 2024. He earned All-Pro honors in both 2022 and 2023 and was a key part of the Chiefs’ secondary during that stretch.
One of his most notable plays came in Super Bowl LVIII when a late third-down blitz helped force a stop before Kansas City’s comeback win.
