The Kansas State Wildcats men’s basketball program has named Casey Alexander as its new head coach, the school announced Friday.
Alexander agreed to a five-year contract and becomes the 27th head coach in program history. He replaces the previous staff after Kansas State finished the 2025–26 season with a 12-20 record.
Alexander brings 303 career wins in 15 seasons as a head coach. Most recently, he led the Belmont Bruins men’s basketball program, where he won 166 games over seven seasons and captured four conference titles, including the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship.
He previously served as head coach at Lipscomb Bisons men’s basketball and Stetson Hatters men’s basketball.
Alexander has led teams to 10 straight 20-win seasons and three postseason appearances during his career.
Kansas State will formally introduce Alexander at a press conference Monday at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas.
