Kelce Returning Headlines Chiefs’ Key Re-Signings

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a familiar leader back on offense in 2026 as tight end Travis Kelce announced he will return for his 14th NFL season.

Kelce led Kansas City with 76 receptions, 851 yards and five touchdowns last season. The performance marked his 12th straight year with at least 800 receiving yards, tying Jerry Rice for the longest streak in league history. Kelce already holds multiple franchise records, including receptions, receiving yards and total touchdowns, and also owns the NFL record for postseason receptions.

Kansas City also brought back wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, who caught 19 passes for 438 yards and three touchdowns last season while leading the team with eight receptions of 25 yards or more.

The Chiefs also re-signed long snapper James Winchester. The veteran has appeared in 181 games since joining Kansas City in 2015 and has not missed a game during that span.
